Tin of Sardines

The Tin of Sardines is Durham’s smallest bar. It features gins from all over the UK. We hadn’t stopped in yet, so on a lark we thought we would see how small it really was…

Answer: Tiny

In fact it is so small that they don’t have a bar, per se, rather it’s a counter with shelving that holds the gins and stemware. Cozy.

We decided to try something new. Something unique. What could possibly go wrong?

The English do like their G&Ts. It was a lovely afternoon.

  1. I tried the Engine Gin when I was in Chattanooga last year, it wasn’t my favorite. I am curious what your thoughts where about it? There was this tiny little bar that was very similar to this one when I visited Kilkenny, Ireland – it was called Hole in the Wall and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! You both look like you’re having a blast!!

    1. I didn’t like it as much as Bombay Sapphire, but it was okay. I ordered it more for the fun! lol It was a cute place and because it was so small it forced everyone to talk to each other! No private meetings there!

  2. What large glassware from such a petite establishment. Seems they have their priorities in order
