While in Knebworth, we went to a Football (i.e., Soccer) match between Stevenage FC (the local club) and Portsmouth.
It’s a lovely little stadium where everyone is close to the field, and the fans sing and chant throughout the entire game. We had great seats right behind the goal. The other end was full of Portsmouth supporters.
It rained, then the sun came out, then it rained again at the end of the match. Such is England. The game ended in a 0-0 tie, but there were two red cards and the ref got injured (not intentionally, we think) and had to leave the game. We had a great time!
What a motley crew of supporters!
Looks like fun. Stay warm
Do they separate the fans to limit fan fighting?
Yes, although that’s not much of a problem anymore. We had a great time and everyone was well behaved.
That looks like fabulous fun. Great experience for you, and with your storytelling I feel like I was there with you. Thank you!
Wish you had been there!
