Thanksgiving in the UK

We celebrated Thanksgiving a little early to coincide with the Lumiere Festival. Our friends from London, Claire and her kids and her fiancee Pete, came up for the weekend. We also invited some new friends from Durham.

We made the best traditional meal we could while living in the UK. Turkeys are a bit hard to come by here, but we did it!

Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberries, the works!

We had eleven people over for dinner in our little house so it was a bit crowded and loud. Just like Thanksgiving back home.

Greta even got along with Pete!

From the oldest to the youngest, everyone had a great time!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

    1. Among other things we learned that British people don’t eat salad with dinner. That entire bowl of salad was untouched! Another learning experience!

  1. Glad you were able to share with friends! We’re so grateful that you’re in our lives❣️
